Librarian Charlotte Hayes recognises Finn the moment he walks into her library. She knows the truth about the scandal that destroyed him. She knows he's innocent. But revealing what she knows means exposing herself to a dangerous past she's spent years escaping.

When Alex Morrison offers Finn a permanent job at The Happy Outback Hotel, Charlotte tells herself to stay away. But her six-year-old son Oliver adores Finn. The town embraces him. And Charlotte can't ignore the growing connection between them-or the guilt of staying silent whilst Finn suffers.
