Olive Branch

A comprehensive proposal for 42 amendments to the United States Constitution to address the present challenges to the democracy.

Complete list of proposed amendments:

Defining the protections created by the right to keep and bear arms and limiting further proliferation of military weapons for civil use;
Providing protections on the right of individuals to their body and defining when a child is alive;
Placing restrictions on the production and distribution of pornography and defining child pornography;
Redefining the structure of the House of Representatives and the Senate, and eliminating Gerrymandering;
Establishing a process for adding, modifying, and removing states from the United States;
Expanding the qualifications for office and applying term limits;
Defining, expanding, and protecting the right to vote;
Abolishing the death penalty;
Comprehensive reform of the criminal laws;
Protecting the rights of incarcerated persons;
Abolishing the doctrine of sovereign immunity;
Protecting and expanding bankruptcy rights;
Defining structure and operation of the Supreme court, and the process for appointment of all federal judges;
Restricting the use of the National Guard;
Requiring import bonds to protect consumers and enforce US laws; prohibiting other tariffs not specifically authorized;
Requiring operation of the postal service and mitigating unwanted and obnoxious communications;
Establishing or amending standards of language, time, and measurement;
Declaring universal applicability of human rights and prohibiting secret courts;
Establishing restrictions on and reforming law enforcement including all state and federal agents;
Protecting crime victims' privacy rights;
Defining sexual consent and declaring universal enforcement of sex offenses and homicides involving citizens;
Reforming the insurance system to increase transparency and accountability;
Protecting the environment and restoring the natural balance of the world;
Clarification of certain fundamental rights;
Defining and reforming education;
Balancing the budget and paying down the debt;
Prohibiting public discrimination, allowing private discrimination, and restricting speech by public entities;
Placing limitations on the presidency;
Reforming immigration and clarifying rights inherent to the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness;
Reforming housing and land use standards and addressing the homelessness crisis;
Protecting freedom of religious thought and requiring equal treatment of religious organizations;
Limiting criminal and civil involvement of the President and Vice-president in court while in office;
Establishing a Cyber Security Force to protect the electronic assets and communications of the people;
Protecting freedom of information and promoting information accuracy;
Establishing protections related to deportation;
Placing restrictions on publication for profit requiring identification of the type of information presented to the consumer to mitigate misrepresentation;
Creating rules for three types of political funds and reforming campaign finance including contribution limits;
Completely replacing the tax code and defining and limiting the ability of governments to tax;
Reforming social benefits programs and eliminating the goal of perpetual economic growth; protecting non-affluent and
disabled individuals;
Reforming the currency and mitigating the cult of personality around public figures;
Acknowledging and respecting international law;
Providing restrictions on the use of military force and the development and use of weapons of mass destruction.
