Long before Lachlan became the Seelie king, he was a rebellious teenager who fell in love with the wolf shifter who saved his life. It was too bad fate had other plans in mind.

Long before Branan became an animal trader in the borderlands, he was a late-stage wolf shifter, the runt of his pack, running the woods of his father's land in Seelie territory. It was there he met a stag who would forever change his life.

Now, decades later, a favor for a friend has Branan returning to Seelie land and confronting the ghosts of his past, including the Seelie king who broke his heart so long ago. This time, Branan's determined to be the one to leave unscathed. Besides, he's used to being a lone wolf, without a pack or a family to call his own.
