In the newest and arguably the best of their novels, the 13 and 10-year-old Elias sisters are back with their second children's/teen novel of the year, "Not Yetta." This time it's a riveting depiction of fame, girlhood, money, and true relationships-- and the inner life of an eleven-year-old girl named Bianca Branchett who stars in a 1980s sitcom called "Not Yetta!" As filming begins, Bianca has to deal with the showrunner, Conor, who treats her like a child--along with the struggles of navigating fame for the first time. Bianca writes a script targeting adults who belittle kids and slips it into the writer's room.
Meanwhile, Bianca also develops a mentoring relationship with her old next-door neighbor Mary, which is tested by Bianca questioning whether their relationship is real or based on money. Will Bianca decide she wants a lavish and famous life, or does she really want something else? At least she knows she'll always be Bianca (and not Yetta)!
