Chant, Kurt, and Moorehart find themselves caught in the middle of an altered timeline, and a dystopian society in a war-torn Sonora, that no longer resembles the home they've known. The clash leaves Moorehart injured and craving a simpler life. It seems like a good time for Chant and the gang to enjoy some light-hearted time travel as he heals.
Amid all the drama of high school, working two jobs, personal relationships, Chant now finds himself leading the time travel team on his own. But through it all, he's growing wiser and more discerning. Could he be growing up? Chant is now seeking time travel advancements, research, and looking toward the future. Not the usual activities of a high school kid.
Buckle-up! Set the controls to visit some twentieth-century icons; Ernest Hemingway, John Wayne, Agatha Christie. And for some adventure on the high seas, they go back even further to meet some real pirates of the Caribbean! The only question is, can he make it to prom on time to save his budding romance?
