New Stories

Continue your language journey with New Stories: Bilingual European Portuguese-English Stories, the third book for beginners A1 Level in this progressive European Portuguese reading series for adult learners.

Join Lia as she discovers more of everyday life in her Portuguese neighbourhood. On a Saturday morning, she visits the local market. A simple shopping trip becomes an opportunity to share food, exchange memories and strengthen growing friendships. Later, over a cup of coffee at Ana's café, Lia discovers how a familiar neighbourhood can hold a lifetime of stories. And when she misplaces a treasured green scarf, she learns that even an ordinary day can bring back important memories.

Across four connected stories, familiar characters and settings create continuity, while recurring vocabulary reinforces learning and introduces new language at a manageable pace.

Written for beginner A1 Level learners, these stories use clear European Portuguese, simple sentence structures and carefully controlled vocabulary. English translation support helps readers understand the narrative as they gradually develop their reading confidence and familiarity with the language.

The 52 Story Method makes language learning feel less like studying and more like reading real fiction: following characters, discovering everyday Portuguese life and absorbing language through context, repetition and authentic Portuguese storytelling.
