Nadaimurayin (Thiru)Kural - The Practical Voice of Thiruvalluvar

A recent book that deeply inspired me is Humankind: A Hopeful History by Rutger Bregman, which compellingly argues through historical evidence that human nature is fundamentally kind and decent. This resonates with the timeless wisdom of Thiruvalluvar's Thirukural, which I believe was written to guide us toward becoming a "greater Humankind." While Bregman uncovers goodness in history, Thiruvalluvar offers a practical blueprint for cultivating it.

To me, Thiruvalluvar is the greatest psychologist the world has known. His Thirukural predates and surpasses modern works like Daniel Goleman's Emotional Intelligence, offering precise guidance on empathy, self-regulation, and social harmony. Composed in Tamil a language of poetic minimalism the Thirukural distills profound truths into concise verses, each a universe of insight.

In today's world of digital isolation and fleeting validation, Thiruvalluvar's teachings are more vital than ever. This book repositions his wisdom within our daily lives at home, in public, and online revealing a timeless path to emotional balance and civic virtue. It's not just a book; it's a call to embed the Thirukural into our educational DNA as the definitive guide to modern Moral Science and exemplary citizenship.
