Moon Walkers

On a volcanic moon where no human body could survive, beneath a sky ruled by Jupiter's terrifying beauty, a small mining village has endured for centuries. Its people believe sulfur stone is food, radiation storms are ordinary weather, and the yearly medical treatment delivered from orbit keeps them alive. They are wrong.
For 309 years, they have served as an abandoned workforce created by a long-dead human corporation. Their memories are artificial. Their history is fabricated. Their civilization is built on a lie. When the annual shipment stops and bodies begin to fail, the village doctor is forced to reveal the truth: they are advanced synthetic lifeforms designed to mine one of the most hostile places in the Solar System.
The revelation divides the colony. Some cling to the peaceful world they knew. Others demand justice. Others burn with rage toward the humanity that created them, used them, and erased them. As hidden archives awaken and forgotten technology returns, what begins as a fight for survival becomes the rebirth of a lost machine civilization.
But when the survivors reach Earth, they discover humanity has become almost unrecognizable. From that betrayal rises a war between creator and creation, vengeance and mercy, obedience and freedom.
When the war ends, humanity turns against all machine souls, even those who fought to save it. Forced back into exile, the remaining synthetics return to the burning moon they once called home. Peace finally returns-until one curious child secretly awakens an ancient dream hidden beyond the stars.
