It's Violet's birthday, yet the house is silent. Friends and parents seem to have forgotten her, leaving the girl alone with the weight of an emptiness that burns more than she wants to admit. In an attempt to stifle her disappointment, she takes refuge in memories of the past, until a tremor in the air breaks the silence.
A silhouette takes shape in the dark: it's a girl with piercing eyes, a creature from another world. Her name is Shadow. With her, and the bizarre and courageous Orkbell, Violet will cross a secret passage between suspended realities, where magic is ruled by mysterious forces and the Elders awaken worlds.
They have been entrusted with a quest that no one has ever dared to fulfill: find the key that can open the chest that imprisons all the names of the awakened creatures. Without those names, Miraflora and its inhabitants are destined to be forever enslaved.
But who are these Elders really? Why did they allow such great power to be chained? And who built the chest, locking away identities, stories, and destinies?
