Millie did not arrive with noise or certainty.
She arrived quietly,

carefully and with a history she could not explain.

Millie is a rescue story told in two voices.

One voice belongs to the humans - learning how trust is built slowly,
how patience matters,
and how a dog does not simply enter a house,
but they enter a life.

The other voice belongs to Millie.

Millie notices what humans miss . She counts. She listens. She reads the world through scent, timing and tiny changes in people.
Each chapter is followed by Millies own account. of the same events ,
marked with a small paw print - not as repetition, but as revelation.

Set in Devon and shaped by coastal walks, quiet pubs, woodland paths.
and the memory of Bryn a much loved dog who showed the way first ,
who had crossed the Rainbow Bridge
and had left a space that could never be filled by a replacement
but could be shared by a dog in need of love.
This is about Rescue in the truest sense.
Not only how a dog is saved,
About how a couple with a hole in their lives were saved from grief.
about how a home is saved from emptiness and changed forever.
