What if middle school students had the power to change everything?

Baker Middle School is on the edge of collapse. Fights in the hallways, overworked teachers, and a student body that's lost all trust in the system. Micah Daniels never saw himself as a leader-until the day he's called into the principal's office and given an opportunity that could change the future of the school.

Alongside a small group of student leaders, Micah is chosen to pioneer a bold new experiment: The Prefectorial System. Under the guidance of Dr. Everly, Baker's no-nonsense yet visionary psychologist, the prefects will serve as mentors, mediators, and role models, responsible for bringing order and respect back to their school.

But not everyone is on board.

Teachers question whether students can handle this kind of responsibility. Bullies, troublemakers, and even some friends see Micah as a sellout. Others wait in the shadows, eager to see him fail. And when one act of defiance turns the entire school against him, Micah must decide-does he keep fighting for what's right, even when it feels like the whole world is against him?

As tensions rise and hidden enemies emerge, Micah must step into the leader he never thought he could be.
