Five-month-old Mia is still waiting for a home. All her brothers and sisters have been adopted, and now only she and her mother, Martine, remain.
Meanwhile, Rossana dreams of finding a cat to share her life with. When she spots Mia in an animal rescue advertisement, their journey together begins-with a bus ride and a whole new world of unfamiliar sounds and smells.
At first, Mia would rather hide. But with patience, gentle care, and a little paper ball, she begins to discover that this new place might be somewhere she belongs.
Mia - A Forever Home is a warmly illustrated story about adoption, trust, and the friendship between a woman and her cat. Inspired by a real cat adopted in Norway in july 2011, it celebrates the small steps that help a frightened little animal feel safe and loved.
The first book in Mia's Adventures, this gentle read-aloud story is ideal for children ages 4-8 and families who love animals.
