This is a full-length comic series based on the legendary Peking Opera master Mei Lanfang. Created with the official authorization and under the supervision of his son, Mei Baojiu, the project was closely guided by him throughout his lifetime.

The series presents many representative stories from Mei Lanfang's life from diverse perspectives, striving to present modern readers with an unembellished portrayal of the master's authentic character-his integrity, kindness, and aesthetic pursuit-as well as his lifelong dedication to exploring and advancing the art of Peking Opera.

Despite his meteoric rise, he remained grounded-humble, diligent, and relentlessly dedicated to his craft, delivering breathtaking performances in timeless classics such as Farewell My Concubine, Chang'e Flies to the Moon, and The Battle at Changban.

One day, his esteemed mentor Wu Lingxian came to visit. He reminisced about why he had taken Mei under his wing years ago, and introduced a ""female disciple"" who would later become Mei's lifelong companion: Fu Zhifang.

The opera tradition thrives when torchbearers pass the flame across generations.
