As the years pass, Max isn't getting any younger. He's turning into a senior dog who is getting tired from being bounced around from family to family.
He starts to feel hope again when he's fostered by a young lady who has been taking care of him and brings him home and decides to adopt him. Max even gets to walk past the house he was in with the little boy when Max was a puppy.
