Mauritius & A Trip

This small book is a joint project between my partner and me. In 2022, we began a nomadic lifestyle, moving from place to place. Our first destination was Turkey, which we had always known would be the starting point. "A Trip" captures some of our early experiences upon arriving there. At the time, we had no idea where we would go next. Ultimately, our travels came to an end in Mauritius, after two years and two months on the road. Shortly before leaving Mauritius to return to the UK, my partner and I embarked on a cycling trip around the island (Mauritius is an island nation). "Three Northern Islands, Came into View Once Again" is a group of poems inspired by that ride. Now, we've decided to print this book and share it with friends who might enjoy it. It features three languages, with the English and Spanish sections solely translated by Xi Nan.

這本小書由我和我的伴侶共同完成。2022年，我們開始了一段四處居住的生活。去的第一個地方是土耳其，這是一開始我們就知道的，"一次旅行"，寫的就是剛到土耳其的一段經歷。接下來會去哪里，當時我們並不知道。最後的結果是，在毛里求斯，我們結束了這段費時兩年零兩個月的旅行生活。在離開毛里求斯回英國前不久，我和我的伴侶進行了一次環島騎行（毛里求斯是一個島國）。"北方三島又出現在，我們的視線裡"，這是一組詩歌，寫的就是有關這次騎行的一些事情。現在我們決定把它印出來，分享給喜歡的朋友。這本書使用了三種語言，其中英語和西班牙語部分，全部由西楠獨立完成。
