Jack, a bored boy from Earth, loves nothing more than to daydream of distant stars and alien worlds. But his dreams are about to become a horrifying reality when a meteor shower reveals a terrifying truth: Earth is under attack. Corrosive green blobs called the Alginax are dissolving everything they touch into pools of ooze.

Just as all seems lost, Jack is rescued by an unlikely hero-a cute, mochi-shaped alien Princess named Mochi and her crew from the Seven Houses of Velari. Aboard their ship, he meets Benji, another survivor, and they are both given a revelation: the key to fighting the Alginax lies in two ancient Endurant weapons that have chosen them.

With their blasters charged and a new mission in their veins, Jack and Benji head to a remote desert to test their powers. They are the galaxy's last hope, two kids with nothing but each other and the power of a long-lost race. The first stop on their journey to save all life? Mars.
