Lucifer Bound

He was fearless, then he became powerless

Lucifer may have left the throne, but his retirement has a flaw: a prison called Cocytus. When the Morningstar walked away from Hell, the cells holding the worst of the damned began to weaken. Astaroth was only the first to escape. Now Lucifer has to find the rest before Heaven learns what he's done and decides the armistice has been broken.

When a man in a New Orleans suburb is torn apart by his former business partner, a man who died a year ago, Lucifer and his bodyguard, Belial, follow the trail to Metairie, where a necromancer is raising an army of the dead. It's the work of someone powerful. And someone with a very personal grudge against the Devil.

But Lucifer has a bigger problem. His powers are gone. No wings, no hellfire, no immortality. For the first time in his existence, the Morningstar is as vulnerable as the humans he's spent his retirement getting to know. He's down to a clever mind, a loyal demon, and a pair of government agents who don't trust him and have very good reasons.

Isaiah Reeves and Samara Tillman work for OSIRIS, an agency that hunts the supernatural. Now they're about to team up with the Devil himself, and Samara knows a bit of magic that could help. If the price isn't too high.

The enemy commands the dead, and he knows exactly how weak Lucifer has become.

To survive, the Devil will have to rely on people he never trusted, make a bargain with a power he doesn't control, and face the one thing he swore he'd never do again. Return to Hell.

Lucifer Bound is book two of the Morningstar series, and expands the Dark Crossroads universe even further!
