Love at First Gripe

Inheriting property in Maine comes with complications. Like the gorgeous, grumpy caretaker who wanted to buy it first.

Landing one-hundred acres of wilderness wasn't on my turning-thirty-bucket-list, but there are definitely worse things.

I've already been fired, dumped, and given myself the world's most atrocious bangs imaginable, so why not? What could go wrong?

Turns out, a lot.

I'm no Wilderness Barbie. I can't start a fire, I nearly drown in a canoe, and when I catch a trash panda inhaling fistfuls of my cereal? I panic.

Enter: Shepherd Scott. The muscled, moody mountain man who's been taking care of this place for eight years and isn't thrilled about my inheritance.

While part of me wants to run back to South Carolina, another part starts falling for this place.

And maybe for the man teaching me to survive it.

Now I just have to figure out if I'm brave enough to build something here, or if I'm about to add "failed wilderness venture" to my growing list of disasters.
