Love and Lost: 2 Sides of the Same Coin is a poetry collection exploring love, heartbreak, grief, longing, insecurity, healing, and self-acceptance.

Told through three acts: Remember, Recall, and Return, Sara F. James moves through the memories of intimacy and desire, the weight of loss, and the difficult process of confronting yourself after everything changes.

Throughout the book, James signs her work Legacy S., a reflection of her creative name, Legacy Soleil. Soleil, the French word for sun, represents the light that continues to return even after periods of darkness, a theme woven throughout the collection. Her poetry is paired with original illustrations by Reginald Leach, bringing another layer of emotion and storytelling to each section.

Raw, vulnerable, and reflective, Love and Lost is for anyone who has loved deeply, lost painfully, carried memories longer than expected, and eventually realized that healing does not require forgetting. It simply asks us to keep moving toward the light.
