In recent years there have been significant legislative advances in all areas, both in international law, European law and in our Spanish legal system, so I will proceed to make a generic overview of the background and the current concept of trafficking, with the criminal regulation of this crime at present, based on international and European instruments, and analyzing in particular the criminal regulation of the crime of trafficking in our country after the reform operated by LO 1/2015.It is with the Palermo Protocol where we find the legal definition of "Trafficking", understanding as such: "the recruitment, transportation, transfer, harboring or receipt of persons, resorting to the use of force, threat, fraud, abduction, deception, abuse of power or situation of vulnerability among others, for the purpose of sexual exploitation".
