A time when kingdoms reigned supreme over the lands, life was filled with contrasts. Farmers toiled tirelessly to cultivate the Earth, thieves roamed the town streets for easy prey, commoners labored to create affordable goods, and royalty maintained law and order over their people. A prosperous kingdom, ruled by King Johnathan with his twin heirs, attempts to find a suitor for his daughter's hand in marriage after the failures of her first union, which resulted in a child.

Despite their poor luck, an unconventional bachelor, known for being a dangerous beast for his ruthless pursuit of personal beliefs and power, and his entrusted knight, arrive unannounced at the castle and request her hand in marriage. The bride believes that it would be another foul marriage, but is proven wrong by the newly-titled king's odd ideas and thoughts. As they learn from each other, fighting internal turmoil and social norms, a war crime from the past comes back to hunt her husband.

Now, it is up to them to try to establish peace before it is too late and destroys their beloved small kingdom.
