What happens after a tragedy?
That is a question countless people across history have had to find their own answer to. And for a small group of survivors after a devastating kaiju attack leaves Tokyo leveled and irradiated in 1954, they and a whole country had to find out. A grieving nurse struck with survivor's guilt, a naval officer wrongly blamed for abandoning his men, a former war reporter who had to witness the whole event, and a scientist widowed by Nagasaki re-experiencing it all. At the least however, as Japan rebuilds, the nation could breathe knowing the horrific titan of destruction was dead.
Until another inexplicable monster appears in the Soviet Union and begins making its way towards Japan and Korea. And with the survivors flung back into the thick of the Cold War's chaos and conspiracy, even more things might well turn out to not be as they appear.
In the spirit of Godzilla Minus One and Giant Monsters All-Out-Attack, fates collide when a city is shrouded by the shadow of two clashing titans.
