Interville

Patrick Newberry loves nothing more than gaming — which becomes a serious problem when he develops a sudden and very peculiar electricity allergy. Now, every sneeze makes electronics explode, every hiccup fries something expensive, and one unfortunate encounter with the neighbour’s cat leaves the entire neighbourhood without Wi-Fi for a week. Patrick thinks things can’t possibly get any worse. He’s wrong. Because his birthday present turns out to be Crooked Creek Canyon Camp — a mosquito-infested wilderness nightmare he’s fairly certain he won’t survive. Seriously, what were his parents thinking? But camp turns out to be far stranger than Patrick imagined. Soon, a mysterious glowing creature starts stalking him through the forest at night. Then comes the kidnapping (which involves an infamous giant, a butterfly net large enough to catch a pterodactyl, and far too much running), leading Patrick to Verdigris Island — the best-kept secret on Earth. There, eccentric guardians protect a magical Gate leading to InterVille, an intergalactic village filled with impossible worlds, terrifying creatures, and secrets beyond imagination. Now, with more than one world in danger, Patrick and his new friends must venture beyond the Gate into the unknown before something monstrous escapes from InterVille forever. An unforgettable adventure is about to begin!
