Inside My Chaotic Mind

Robin Christine Honigsberg's first full poetry collection deals with her experiences struggling with several mental illnesses; relationships which deal with friends, significant others, doctors and colleagues; and her developing relationship with God.

Because of Robin's verbal abuse triggered by her struggle with a number of mental illnesses and her two overdose attempts they didn't believe occurred, they abandoned and rejected her.

A Jewish writer from Montreal, Quebec, Canada who is currently estranged from her family, she has no contact with her sister and is trying to reconcile with her mother.

Most of her poetry stems from her emotional pain; Robin's ability to fix her relationship with her mother is under a time constraint as her mother was diagnosed with slow-progressing dementia and Robin is determined to do all she can to see and speak to her mother even one last time, to say "goodbye.".

She knows she may never see or speak to her mother again, and knows she'll speak to her sister only a handful of times the rest of her life; her sister made it clear she wanted nothing to do with her older sister and has spoken to Robin twice in the last few years.

Her third volume of poems will be focused on family relationships, their breakdowns and the process of their attempted reconciliations.

She is currently in therapy slowly learning to accept the situation; it may have been easy for her family to kick her out of their lives, but each day she feels herself die inside a little bit more, a sentiment reflected in her poetry.
