Inaudible Crushed Shells of Sense (Casuistry)

Inaudible Crushed Shells of Sense (Casuistry) is a visionary sequence of poems exploring beauty, memory, childhood, civilisation, desire, myth and consciousness through a rich symbolic landscape of vessels, ruins, thresholds and forgotten architectures of meaning.

Across eight interconnected sections, the collection journeys from the first intimations of beauty and selfhood through institutions, childhood, inheritance, love, transmission and cultural exhaustion before arriving at a final interior landscape in which consciousness itself becomes fractured, elusive and transformative. Snow, bottles, cots, prisons, ghost towns, fossils, magpies, stations, curtains and brown paper bags emerge as recurring emblems within a poetic world where memory persists long after the structures that once sustained it have begun to erode.

Mythology, psychology, philosophy, literature, architecture and everyday life collide to create a symbolic ecology that is at once intimate, unsettling and luminous. These poems do not seek explanation so much as revelation, asking what remains when beauty fades, when culture fossilises, when love becomes memory, and when the certainties that once gave shape to human experience begin to fracture.

At once lyrical, philosophical and dreamlike, Casuistry rewards repeated reading. It is a poetic cabinet of echoes, fragments and afterlives; a meditation upon inheritance, disappearance and the fragile vessels through which human beings preserve meaning against the forces of time, loss and extinction.

Strange, restrained and haunting, Inaudible Crushed Shells of Sense (Casuistry) stands as an imaginative exploration of consciousness and the enduring traces left behind by beauty itself.
