Preface I: The Night of the President's State of the Union Address

On February 25, 2026, the United States Capitol in Washington, D.C., was brightly illuminated, yet the lights could not pierce the deep darkness where American politics is torn apart.

On the night of the President's State of the Union address, the current 47th President of the United States, Donald J. Trump, stood before the podium. Using nearly two hours, he depicted an America where a "Golden Age has arrived"-an America today with secure borders, a robust economy, falling crime rates, reshoring manufacturing, allies in awe, and enemies in retreat.

As the speech neared its conclusion, President Trump issued a simple and sharp appeal: "The primary duty of the American government is to protect American citizens, not illegal immigrants. Please stand up in support." In an instant, Republicans stood up as one, with thunderous applause; whereas Democrats sat completely still, motionless and expressionless, as if attending a funeral.

During President Trump's speech, the image of half the people standing and half the people sitting inside the US Congress hall will become one of the most symbolic sights of 21st-century American politics. This sight tells the American people that the Democratic Party has fully embarked on a point of no return toward ideologization.

What ideologization manifests is not merely policy divergence, but that the Democratic Party is step by step moving into severe opposition against the interests of the American public, and ultimately moving toward hatred. The Democratic Party hates the American Founding Fathers (accusing them of being slave owners), hates American citizens (flinging open the nation's gates to let in criminals), and hates the foundational cornerstone of the American public's faith-Christianity (expelling Christianity from public life).

On February 4, 2020, at the scene of another State of the Union address delivered by President Trump during his term as the 45th President of the United States, the Speaker of the House at the time, Democrat Nancy Pelosi, unexpectedly ripped apart President Trump's speech text right in front of global television viewers. Her action left the entire world dumbfounded.

Why did Pelosi commit such a crude and impolite act before the whole world? The answer is because these leftist liberal politicians already have entirely no reverence left in their hearts. If a person has no fear of God in their heart, they will not hold a heart of honor and respect toward a democratically elected president chosen through legal procedures, nor toward the vast numbers of American public who support Trump. The ferocious faces of these Democrats displaying aggressive warfare actually project the distortion within their own hearts. A political party that no longer fears God, no longer holds fast to the Christian faith, usurps God's justice, and wildly attempts to substitute for God's sovereignty is bound to be a political party controlled by demons.

Arendt said: "All ideologies contain totalitarian elements." Voegelin pointed out: "Ideology is the alienation of the soul, a disease of the spirit, and the resurrection of Gnosticism relying on modernity."

In this book, we precisely focus on the theme of "ideology" to unfold a detailed discussion.

This book is a work of tribute dedicated to the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States. This book reminds us: the specter of ideology is still hovering above America; modern liberalism propelled Britain and Europe onto a path of no return toward self-destruction, and the America under President Trump's leadership today is the sole hope of Western civilization; Western civilization belongs not only to the West, but further belongs to the entirety of humanity.

May God help us!
