Conflict does more than strain relationships-it quietly narrows our perspective. Over time, familiar patterns begin to feel inevitable, possibilities become harder to see, and individuals and communities can find themselves repeating the very dynamics they hope to change.
I-IMAGINE offers a different path.
Grounded in restorative justice and informed by neurobiology, embodiment, systems thinking, trauma-informed practice, and collaborative facilitation, I-IMAGINE introduces a practical framework for transforming conflict by creating the conditions for restorative imagination to emerge. Rather than asking, Who is right? or How do we get past this?, the framework invites participants to ask, What becomes possible now?
Designed for groups, organizations, families, schools, and communities, this guide presents a structured yet flexible process for helping people move from breakdown toward greater clarity, accountability, connection, and shared possibility.
Through eight practical movements-Intention, Inquiry & Listening, Mapping Conflict, Accountability, Generating Possibilities, Implementing a Plan, Norm-Building, and Encourage & Empower-participants are invited to slow down, listen deeply, understand what has happened, take meaningful responsibility, imagine healthier futures, and collaboratively build practical pathways forward.
Rather than offering rigid scripts, I-IMAGINE equips facilitators with a rich collection of embodied practices, visual frameworks, reflection exercises, dialogue prompts, facilitation guidance, case studies, assessments, and real-world examples that can be adapted across diverse settings.
At its heart, I-IMAGINE is not about forcing reconciliation or manufacturing agreement. It is about cultivating the conditions in which people become more capable of reflection, accountability, collaboration, and creative problem-solving. The facilitator serves not as the expert with the answers, but as the steward of a process that helps groups discover answers together.
Whether working in schools, nonprofits, workplaces, faith communities, government, healthcare, higher education, or local neighborhoods, I-IMAGINE provides a practical roadmap for transforming conflict into opportunities for learning, repair, stronger relationships, healthier cultures, and collective flourishing.
