Stanley Isenberg did everything right. A 64-year-old MIT graduate with honors, he spent forty years as a loyal programmer for the Vision Scope Tech Corporation. He played by the rules, saved his money, and placed a down payment on a quiet retirement in Arizona with his wife, Inger.

In one day, it was all erased.

A rogue faction of Anonymous wipes out his bank account, investment portfolio, and credit. When Stanley dares to fight back, they send a message beyond financial ruin: they remotely access Inger's iron lung and disable it.

The bank has no record of him. The police can't help. The FBI gives him a case number and tells him to "start over."

Driven by grief and stripped of his future, Stanley accesses I.R.I.S.-the International Robotic Intelligence System he secretly built to combat foreign cyber attacks. When she refuses him access, he activates a code buried for forty years.

Now the hunter has become the hacker. And when a man with nothing left to lose decides to burn it all down, the system doesn't just crash.
