I Call Myself A Christian...Am I?

What does it mean to be a Christian? If we profess our faith in Jesus Christ, do our lives express we are His followers? I Call Myself a Christian...Am I? is an exploration of the foundational elements of a true believer's Christian faith and the lifestyle patterns that characterize a genuine follower of Jesus Christ. Kathleen provides an in-depth, biblical understanding of what it means to be a Christian, highlighting the hallmarks that let us know for certain we indeed belong to Christ.

"I trust this book will be a great help to many, as Kathleen gets straight to the point, writing with clarity and a sense of urgency about life's most important question: what does it mean to be a true follower of Christ? I appreciate that she does not shy away from the subject of sin, yet speaks the truth in love, and grounds everything she says in the sure foundation of God's Word. She wisely emphasizes our need to count the cost of following Jesus, but also the cost of not following Him, and wraps it all up with a powerful and clear explanation of grace-that costly love of Jesus, displayed on the cross-without which the Christian's hope would be nothing more than wishful thinking." - Jon Sanné, Lead Pastor, Calvary Chapel of Olympia.
Born in Minnesota, raised in Texas, Kathleen has resided in the Pacific Northwest since the age of twenty. She earned degrees from Saint Martin's and Chapman Universities and co-owned and operated a small business for 18 years. Her favorite place is home, and she enjoys baking goodies, making soap, and spending time with her husband, Steve, and their dog, Jackson.

Kathleen became a "Precept Upon Precept" Bible study leader in 2015. She co-leads a women's Precept Bible study and leads an in-home Precept study with family and friends. Though Kathleen believed herself to be a Christian her entire life, it wasn't until a little over a year after she began studying God's Word that she came to realize she was not. As the awareness grew brighter of how easily we can be deceived by our own faulty thinking, Kathleen felt God impressing upon her heart to share with others what she discovered in God's Word about what it means to be a true follower of Jesus Christ.
