HERBERT WAS AFRAID.
The person who owned him before wasn't nice to him, so he was always anxious and worried.

I was patient and kind. It took time, but Herbert learned to trust me. He is happy now. He learned to replace bad memories and feelings with good ones.

So many children have been through trauma or abuse of some kind, or live with general anxiety in our high-stress world. Even if they are deeply loved and accepted, they made need more practical help to deal with past feelings, reoccurring fears, or associated triggers that bring up or heighten their pain.

Scripture is used in the story as well as through the additional content, and the Gospel is given. Back content also includes large memory verse pages that can be cut out and put around the child's room to remind him or her of the truths they have learned. Also included are two pages for the child to write in to personally apply the methods shared in the book.
