I was eighteen when I told my brother's best friend how I felt about him. We could talk about anything and spent time together having fun. I thought he felt the same. He didn't. He shot me down and made me feel like a charity project.

We've stayed in each other's lives, because of my brother, but mostly from a distance. Until he offers me a job, editing a book written by my friend, who also happens to be my brother's new girlfriend. I can't say no.

We start to rekindle our friendship, finally discussing the past, with surprising confessions.

When we both share the same stressful and emotional day, I ask him to make me feel better, just for one night, just to get it out of our system.
