Five months have passed since Maria Harker escaped a fate worse than death at the hands of her ancestor's enemies. Van Helsing's victory over Dracula may be ancient history, but the legacy he's left his progeny remains - to slay the undead that continue to walk the earth. 

Except, things have changed since the descendant of Helsing fell in love with a vampire. While Maria's convinced that Ignatius Drake may be the only immortal man with a morality complex, her family aren't quite seeing eye to eye on his innocence. Hard to imagine, what with her staying out all night, blood sharing with her boyfriend, and refusing to acknowledge the dangers involved. 

All hell breaks loose when a wild night pulls her naive younger cousin into the fray, and it turns out there are some monsters even a descendant can't decapitate. An enemy has been awakened, far older than anything Maria has faced before. Survival will depend on rebuilding bridges with her estranged relatives, or risk burning it all down in the wake of her greed.
