When a young man accidentally kills the keeper of the gateway between this world and the next in order to protect his little sister, he finds himself bound eternally to the house at Raven Hill. There, as he learns to be the new Keeper from the witch who resides there, he falls in love with the Dead Girl, a soul who is reluctant to cross over. This is Ashton Freeman's premiere novel and the first of the "halfway Trilogy." Ashton lives in Northern Kentucky, but will always consider Indiana their home. A graduate of Western Kentucky University's Creative Writing program, they have done a variety of jobs throughout their life that involved little writing, yet maintained their love for both teaching others and telling a great story. When not pretending to be okay, they can be found absorbing pop culture, playing Dungeons & Dragons or modifying foam dart blasters.
