Aulric has slipped beyond Dyvers, and the trail leads east to Greyhawk-a city large enough, clever enough, and morally disciplined enough to hide corruption behind archives, bonded repositories, and private review. Seir, Dargan, Maeressa, Finn, and Arannis enter the city hunting not just a fugitive lich-custodian, but the buried system that lets him survive within it.

As the party peels back Greyhawk's public offices, private holdings, and old intake routes, Finn's family history becomes part of the deeper machinery. By the time the party forces its way through the lower route, the truth is unmistakable. The real movement is by water. The Selintan dispatch line, false landings, shell cargo, and coastal handoff points all lead toward Narwell, Safeton, and beyond them the Wild Coast. Book 6 closes with Greyhawk wounded, the inland mask cracked, and the next pursuit turning south by river.
