God Stories

My God, He Is Real!

As you read through these stories, you will see I write at length about how God is everything to me--the center of my life. Without God, there is nothing, and with God in my life, everything has meaning and purpose. As long as I can remember, I have committed my day to God in prayer. It is something I have been faithfully doing almost my entire life: Through my teens, young adult life, and now I get to do it with my wonderful wife, Sue.

Looking back over the past thirty years, these stories or testimonies of God's faithfulness can be put into three categories:

God's Protection: Kept me from danger, illnesses, or injuries.

God's Provision: Supplied me with my material needs--land, equipment, housing--as related to these stories.

God's Perspective: From the way I viewed my surroundings and my circumstances and how He has changed my thinking.

There is scripture that says, "As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he" (Proverbs 23:7). All these stories that I write about have been experienced by me personally, and none of them have been altered or changed to make them more dramatic. As I've seen God answer them, I have to give Jesus Christ the credit for the outcome of them all.

I encourage you to read them and decide for yourself if it is just luck or coincidence or if there is a God who knows us intimately and wants to be involved in all aspects of our lives.

Do you really believe that God will answer your prayer? Now remember the answer may be yes, no, or "wait, not yet." But God will answer. I hope that for you, this book will ignite a passion and desire to pray more about everything all the time. When you do, you will see, experience, and encounter the God who walked and talked with Adam in the garden, who split the Red Sea, and caused Jericho's walls to come down! My prayer for everyone reading this book is that no matter where you are on your journey with God, you will encounter Him in these pages and desire to have your own God stories to share.
