When a haunted musician and his family move into John Lennon's old apartment, a labyrinth of occult history is uncovered, awakening supernatural forces that pit him against his own demons and a destiny tied to December 1980.

When washed-up musician Lance Skelton moves his pregnant wife Josie and young daughter Cassie into Apartment 72 of the Dakota-John Lennon's former home-he believes the storied building might restart his career and save his family. Instead, the Dakota begins to wake up around them. Strange neighbors watch too closely. Security feels less like protection than surveillance. Cassie whispers about women singing to her from the park. Josie hears voices in empty rooms. And Lance finds a misplaced journal packed with frantic diagrams-floorplans laced with ritual geometry, symbols hidden in corners, and references to artifacts buried in the basement.

As Lance investigates, the Dakota's history bleeds into the present: Native burial rites beneath Manhattan, counterculture excess in the rooftop "pyramids," and dark connections to cult networks and shadowy government experiments. What starts as a psychological spiral becomes something more literal-the building isn't just haunted; it's a living ritual engine powered by memory, fear, and performance. Competing factions within the Dakota circle Lance, each convinced he's central to the building's next "act." Some want him to finish a song Lennon never completed. Others believe he's destined to repeat Lennon's fate-another sacrifice to the Dakota's hunger.

Temporal fractures intensify: Lance experiences visions that demand participation-Lennon's last walk, ancient ceremonies before the city existed, and moments where past and present collapse into the same room. With his family caught in the crosshairs and paranoia tightening into prophecy, Lance realizes everything is accelerating toward December 8th, the anniversary of Lennon's murder. The closer the date gets, the clearer the question becomes: is he facing a curse, a conspiracy, or manipulation by those claiming to help?
