Furry Friends

Disappointment has an annoying habit of arriving unexpectedly. That's probably why it's called 'disappointment' and not just 'appointment'. Appointments are always expected because you plan them and put them in your diary. Evie Bamford thought she had an appointment with a strange and exciting new planet. Instead, the Train landed in Adelaide. Which is, unfortunately, where she already lives.

So while Evie is stuck at home giving her parents some long-overdue explanations, Paulo and the Captain investigate why a wild crocodile is roaming the suburbs, and what it has to do with a mysterious schoolteacher who seems to know far too much about the Train.

But Evie's back-to-normal life ends as quickly as it came - somewhere between taking the rubbish out and saving the world from an alien invasion. Because something else has escaped too. Something small, something hairy, something that definitely should not exist on Earth. And when life refuses to fit neatly into kingdoms, phyla, or anything remotely sensible, the only question left is not what is it? But what has it already done?

Can the Train crew find a permanent solution before humanity faces 'early dismissal'?
