Functional Materials from Carbon, Inorganic and Organic Sources describes the basic principles, mechanisms and theoretical background of functional materials. The last section is devoted to organic and biological based functional materials. The chapters in this section emphasize green or biological approaches to the synthesis semiconductor nanoparticles, quinolone complexes and their applications, biomaterials and biopolymers.
