I gave Logan Black my heart when I was fifteen, and I never really got it back. For five years, he was my everything. My first love. My forever.

So, when his world fell apart, I understood why he left, but it didn't make the heartbreak any less.

He chose his family, and I stayed behind to finish college and build a life that didn't feel like mine without him. I didn't have a choice but to move forward.

In the end, I kept my head down and focused on school, because it was easier than thinking about everything I lost.

A year later, I graduate and take a job that brings me closer to the one place I swore I'd never return to.

I tell myself it's just work. A fresh start, but the truth is, I never really let him go.

Because the moment I see Logan again, everything inside of me remembers- the ease, the pull, and the danger of loving him.
