FOREVER I DO

Why do some marriages succeed while others fail? Marriage isn't for the weak of heart. When you connect two people from different walks of life, there is going to be conflict. How the conflict is managed, how the couple learns to compromise, and perhaps most importantly, how seriously they each take their vows will determine how they overcome the challenges that can either refine or destroy their marriage. These narratives were written by four Black women from different walks of life who share their stories about what they work at daily to keep the vows of their very different marriages. This book clearly showcases that marriage isn't one size fits all.

With an accumulation of over 100 years of marriage experience shared between them, these sister-friends ("Victoria", "Nyrobi", "Taryn", and "Ashabi") share their unique perspective on navigating the challenges that life naturally throws in the way of marriage vows, and the sacrifices one makes to make to ensure "till death do us part." In each chapter, each woman tells a piece of their story in relation to the marriage vows. Through laughter, tears and moments of real transparency, these women allow readers to glean from them and the marriage milestones that have shaped the authors' understanding of what it truly means to have and to hold, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish - till death do us part.
