FLIP

FLIP is a 65,000-word psychological suspense novel. It tells the tale of Matt Andrews, who is forced by an enigmatic hitchhiker to confront his life's biggest regret - his role in an abortion.

Matt Andrews is living in two separate narratives diverging from a single choice. On the night he decides to abandon his pregnant girlfriend in Nebraska, a mysterious hitchhiker on a lonely crossroads witnesses his choice of direction by the flip of a coin. Matt picks East, and a successful career and family with two children blossom.

Sixteen years later, however, Matt is approached by the hitchhiker again, who flips a coin and shows Matt what his life could have been had he stayed to raise his child. In this other life, Matt discovers that, along with having a 16-year-old daughter, he's a renowned artist with a painting to his credit that his fans believe could unlock a biblical code.

As one coin flip follows another, Matt goes back and forth between his two lives. Guided only by a country preacher, he must discern the forces that have him trapped in perpetual limbo, the identity of the hitchhiker, and how his own artwork may hold the key to his condition. And he must confront the anguish and shame he feels for loving two families at the same time.
