Finding Us

Born within two months of each other, Josie Ferguson and Colton Field have been best friends their entire lives. While everyone around them assumed they'd end up together eventually, Colton's six-year relationship with someone else prevented that from happening--despite their feelings for each other.

But when Colton has a motorcycle accident, it's Josie he calls for help. His already troubled relationship with his girlfriend buckles under the pressure of him staying at Josie's apartment rather than hers. Meanwhile, having Colton and his girlfriend perpetually under her roof sends Josie into a crisis of wondering what she's doing with her life.

Near her breaking point, she calls her roommate from college, who presents her with the perfect solution. She offers Josie the opportunity to move across the state with her. After taking some time to think about it, Josie accepts and starts to prepare.

Josie's news of her impending departure sends the now-single Colton into a panic. He's never known a life without Josie, nor does he want to. When the two of them drunkenly hookup, giving in to those decades-long feelings, he assumes they're together. Her disappearance come morning proves him wrong. Unable to deal with what this could mean for her and her future plans, Josie ghosts him for three weeks until she's forced to come face-to-face with him at their families' shared Thanksgiving dinner.

Despite the fact they clearly have something between them, Josie insists she's still leaving at the end of the year. They come to an agreement to continue sleeping with each other until then. When Colton keeps begging her to stay, despite her believing this is all a result of him panicking over her leaving, will she overcome her fears to finally accept that it's always been him for her? Can he convince her through his actions just how good their life together could be before she leaves town?
