My day starts with pain and ends in pain. This daily journey has been what I have to look forward to each day for the last 5 and a half years since I woke up from the ICU. I was almost on the verge of death, and doctors had even asked my family to prepare for the end, but I pulled through.
It was another 7 months of hospitalizations of being pumped with Cyclophosphamide, a chemotherapy drug, IV antibiotics, and all kinds of other things, did I finally go 'home' to a life of imprisonment.
I have been bed-ridden for the last 65+ months, but I am still here fighting. A lot has influenced my life, and some of it has come from movie quotes and literature quotes. There are many, and these as 12 that I have chosen to share a reflection on.
This is book 4 in my series of Finding Strength, that has documented the emotional roller coaster that has been my life with Lupus with transverse myelitis, with acute neuropathic pains.
