Exterminating Limits is not just another self-help book. Drawing on his raw personal battles with addiction, debt, betrayal, and family tragedy - as well as his career in pest control - Ian LindleyWood Terry uses the powerful metaphor of "pest infestations" to expose how negative thoughts, financial chaos, and toxic relationships silently eat away at our lives.
With unflinching honesty and a blueprint forged in both pain and resilience, Terry shows readers how to inspect their lives, define thresholds, exterminate what's holding them back, and build prevention systems that create lasting freedom.
Part I - Mind: Identifying and eliminating the "mental pests" like negative self-talk, impulsivity, and addiction.
Part II - Money: From near-bankruptcy to building businesses, Terry reveals the traps of financial infestations and the systems to overcome them.
Part III - Meaning: How toxic bonds destroy, and how strong foundations with family, mentorship, and legacy restore.
Part IV - The Extermination Framework: A repeatable, four-step blueprint: Inspect, Thresholds, Treat, Prevent.
The book concludes with an actionable toolkit, giving readers practical checklists, guardrails, and systems to live pest-free lives.
Pests multiply in darkness - in homes, and in life. Shine light, take action, and you can exterminate the limits eating you alive.
Ian LindleyWood Terry was born in Long Island, New York, and grew up in a family business that became a Hamptons legacy - The Lobster Roll. His life journey has taken him from Rastafarian college student, to massage therapist, to pest control operator and branch manager, to tech entrepreneur and community builder.
Ian holds a degree in Psychology from the University of Central Florida and is the founder of the Free Computer Project, which refurbishes e-waste for families in need. Married to Tiffany since 2012 and father to Peighton, Ian now runs Solve Pest Pros Orlando, where he leads with mentorship, loyalty, and resilience.
His mission: to help people clear the infestations of addiction, debt, and toxic relationships - and build pest-free legacies that last.
