Preparing To Leave Egypt

"Now you are to eat it in this manner: [be prepared for a journey] with your loins girded [that is, with the outer garment tucked into the band], your sandals on your feet, and your staff in your hand; you shall eat it quickly-it is the Lord's Passover."Exodus 12:11 AMP

As you prepare to leave the place that has held you captive for so long, know that what you eat could very well be the thing that allows death to pass over you. God is releasing instructions to his people about what to eat in this season. As you eat what God has placed in your spirit, he will allow death not to touch you just as he did for his people in Exodus chapter 12. I strongly feel that there will be mass food and water contamination, and we as people of God, must be sensitive to what the Lord instructs us to do concerning what we are putting in our bodies.

Let's examine verse 11 in Exodus 12:11 above. The first thing that this verse points out is the fact that the people needed to eat in a certain manner. The meaning behind this is simple. God is calling us to eat in a particular way. That way for you could be fruits and vegetables. It may be lean protein or a combination of both. The people needed to be prepared for where they were headed. Verse 11 then says, "{be prepared for a journey with your loins girded.....}" The food you eat is preparing you to go into your future of freedom from sickness and disease. In other words, this means that you need to eat with your clothes on because the Lord is taking you somewhere. The food that God is having you to eat is preparing you for longevity, life, and great health in the process. Sometimes the food we choose for ourselves can cause diabetes, high blood pressure, and poor health in general. The fact of the matter is that we get to choose what we eat, despite God placing a prompting in our spirits. It is up to us to choose to live.Deuteronomy 30:19 says "I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:" As the spirit of death ravished the Egyptians, not one Israelite was touched by death. Know that if you are following the voice of the Lord concerning your diet and the things that you are consuming and putting into your body, you too will elude premature death.
