If we look at narcissists, empaths' opposite, we can see that they are self-serving, superficial, and extremely egotistical. They appear to be of the light (yang), yet, deep down, miss out on a lot of beautiful qualities. Empaths embody yin energy, however they are not dark; quite the contrary, they are full of love, kindness, and grace to show and share. All empaths are emotionally intelligent, mature, sensitive, empathic, and wise too, and emotions are connected to feminine energy. So, this is all very useful to be aware of when exploring your own empath nature.

Empaths are masters of natural healing powers, psychic instincts, intuition, selflessness, and shadow work, and these are all born from darkness, from the divine feminine. Shadow work involves seeing the light and dark and then aiming to transmute and alchemize."
