Moving to Wyoming with her daughter promises to lead Jessie to the slow-paced life she craves. Her newly purchased log-cabin home on a dirt road on the outskirts of town is a dream come true. As Jessie begins her career in Wolf Creek, she learns the importance of good friends and begins to experience romance again.
Everything seems to fall into place until Jessie realizes the ranchers are hesitant to accept her, the Mayor is determined to drive her out of business, and she is being used as a cover for cattle rustlers. With the help of locals, Jessie navigates failure and danger in Wolf Creek, but it is the chance encounter with a stranger and his dog that alters her circumstances.
