The fulfilled-prophecy claims that carry the case, 107 of them from Matthew's opening chapter to Revelation, argued at full strength by both sides, then scored. Download the free sample and you get the whole method and the verdict on all 107 claims before you spend a cent.

Born in Bethlehem. Out of Egypt. The virgin birth. The suffering servant. The seventy weeks. The pierced hands. Over 100 claims, 107 from Matthew's opening chapter to Revelation plus nine bonus entries on the institutions the Torah calls perpetual, the covenant's standing, and the interpretive questions underneath the whole case. Every fulfillment claim is put through the same three-part test: does the passage speak in forward-looking language, does it supply identifying content that couldn't simply be read back from the later story, and does the claimed fulfillment match what it actually said?

Every entry runs the same seven blocks. CLAIM states the fulfillment in the New Testament's own terms. PRO makes the case the way its ablest defender would, dual fulfillment and typology included, and concedes what an honest defender concedes. CON keeps only the objections that survive, and answers every PRO defense by name and number. FALLBACK & LIMITS names the best remaining reading and says plainly what it can and cannot carry. NOT CLAIMED lists the arguments the book refuses to make. THE QUESTION states the one question the dispute turns on, framed so that either side can take it up. VERDICT records the result, one of seven for the numbered claims and case by case for the bonus entries.

Along the way you'll learn to watch the move that decides most of these debates: when a prophecy is split between a first coming and a second, the half kept as proof (a town, a donkey, a region) would fit thousands of people, and the half that would identify one man (the throne, the ended wars, the gathered exiles) is moved out of reach. The checkable part doesn't identify him, and the identifying part can't be checked.

Why this book exists

Sincere, well-read Christians have disagreed about these texts for centuries, and many of the lines between denominations run through exactly these passages, each side sure the text was plain and the other side had misread it. That tells you something most books won't say: the text has not settled its own meaning for the people who read it most closely. Disagreement does not prove a passage has no settled meaning; it does mean a reading has to earn its place by answering the serious alternatives.

Too much of the apologetics shelf argues to win: it straw-mans the objection and leaves out the strongest counter-evidence. Too much of the skeptical shelf does the same facing the other way. That kind of advocacy leaves you worse equipped than before.

So this is the book I wanted and couldn't find. The best case for, at full strength. The best case against, at the same strength. Every claim traceable to chapter and verse or to a source you can look up. Where the evidence settles something, the entry says so; where it doesn't, it says that too.

This book will not tell you what to believe. It is a tool for arguing either side honestly, and for finding out which parts of a case survive contact with the strongest version of the opposition. Public-domain World English Bible (WEBU) text throughout. Companion to the full-length Fact-Checking 100 Prophetic Claims and to Did Jesus Really Rise from the Dead?
