What is the TRUTH?

This is the question a small group of intrepid amateur activists known as the Horseheads are asking themselves in 2036, a near-future world where disinformation and polarized political unrest reign supreme, where random acts of violence and environmental catastrophes are the norm, and where the powers that be try to impose law and order by means of brain chip implants. It doesn't take long for the Horseheads to find out that even asking the question-What is the TRUTH?-is enough to make some people angry-angry enough to kill.

Fortunately, the Horseheads are not alone. Brilliant, reclusive trillionaire Noah Wilson (not his real name) has just moved to Greenland to set up the TRUTH Institute, a place intended to explore that very question, and an oasis of honest inquiry in a desert of willful ignorance. Noah is on a mission to bring together the world's best and brightest, but only those who are dedicated to the TRUTH. With the aid of advanced AI, sophisticated androids, and cutting edge technology, he's determined to reel the world back from the brink of destruction.

When the Horseheads team up with the TRUTH Institute, they seem unstoppable. But powerful truth-tellers make powerful enemies, and the champions of TRUTH are no exception. Soon, everyone with a secret is out to get them. Governments, corporations, and rich oligarchs are all working against them, attempting to discover who and where the Horseheads are and how to eliminate them. It's only a matter of time before a full-scale assault erupts!

Devolution: 2036 - The Truth Is Not Enough is a critical-and at times humorous-look at where current trends are taking us as a society and how some particularly bold and brave individuals may stand against them. A mistopian future that could very well become a reality if we don't change course!
