Reporter Zoe Lewellen never imagined she'd have bad luck in Four-Leaf Clover. After stumbling over a wayward pig and tumbling into the mud after her first spa treatment, she assumed her fortune had to turn around. Then, movie producer Archie Blanely rolls into town to shoot his low-budget horror flick. As the cameras roll, an actor drops dead while wearing half a bear costume. Things become more bizarre when a mysterious teenage girl with red, white, and blue hair flees the scene.

When Archie becomes the prime suspect, Zoe and her eccentric landlady, Trudie set out to prove his innocence. Surrounded by a cast of suspects, they wade through the clues, trying to determine if the killer is a runaway, a disgruntled crew member, or an ex with a grudge. As the suspects mount, it seems nothing can stop Archie's film from landing on the cutting room floor.
